Who are we?

  • The field of canine rehabilitation is still relatively new within the pet care industry. While veterinary referrals to rehab are becoming more common, many pet parents are still advised to rely primarily on crate rest and pain medication.

  • Although these recommendations can be important in certain cases—especially in the short term—many conditions benefit from a more hands-on, holistic approach. That’s where canine rehabilitation comes in.

  • Canine rehabilitation is based on the same principles used in human physical therapy and thoughtfully adapted for our four-legged companions—with remarkable results.

  • At East Coast Canine Rehab, we specialize in helping senior dogs regain their independence and continue exploring our vibrant city alongside their humans.

  • Too often, pet parents are told that decreased mobility is simply part of aging, but there is so much that can be done to support comfort, strength, and quality of life. At East Coast Canine Rehab, we take a long-term, proactive approach to senior dog care.

  • Arthritis, like in humans, is a normal part of aging for dogs—but it doesn’t have to define their lives. By applying proven rehabilitation strategies and educating pet parents, we focus on reducing pain, improving mobility, rebuilding lost strength, and creating sustainable exercise routines tailored to each dog.

Business owner, Certified Canine Rehab Practitioner

I am a licensed physical therapist and certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner with a passion for helping dogs move better, feel better, and live fuller lives. I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 2017 and spent four years practicing human physical therapy, gaining a strong foundation in movement science, injury recovery, and pain management.

Driven by a lifelong love of animals and a desire to expand my impact, I went on to earn my certification as a Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner from the University of Tennessee in 2022—one of the leading programs in the field of veterinary rehabilitation. Following my certification, I worked at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists in Houston, Texas, within the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation department, where I collaborated closely with board-certified veterinarians to treat dogs recovering from surgery, injury, neurological conditions, and age-related mobility challenges.
